Our Story
The International Conferences on Life Long Learning in Pharmacy (LLLP) are a series of conferences that have been held for the past 25 years, following the inaugural meeting in Denmark in 1990. They provide an opportunity to discuss issues of importance and relevance to advancing pharmacy practice through continuous professional development (CPD) and lifelong learning. The conferences have been convened around the world in Europe, North America, Africa, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia, and attract pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, educators, researchers, regulators, policy-makers and professional associations from around the world.
Life Long Learning is embraced as a core principle for professional practice throughout the world, and is no less for pharmacy. Many regulators require pharmacists to undertake mandatory Continuing Education (CE), or Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Previous conferences have been convened in the USA 1994, Denmark 1998, Northern Ireland 2000, South Africa 2002, Canada 2005, England 2007, Finland 2009, New Zealand 2011, USA 2014, Croatia 2016, Australia 2018, Ireland 2021 as a virtual event, and most recently USA 2023.
Why attend LLLP?
These conferences are unique in the diversity of its participants. Few if any other pharmacy conferences attract such a heterogeneous group of pharmacy educators and practitioners from around the world, all with a common focus on CE/CPD.

Meet the International Committee
Bronwyn Clark
Australia
Bronwyn is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC). Her career spans practice in hospital and community pharmacy, primary care, academic detailing, education and regulation in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She has been recognised as a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Bronwyn has been a member of the Life Long Learning in Pharmacy Conference International Committee since 2003. She was host convenor of the 10th LLLP conference in Rotorua, New Zealand in 2011, and host convenor to the 12th LLLP held in Brisbane, Australia in 2018.
Bronwyn's contribution to pharmacy includes:
- Chair of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Consortium for provision and partnerships
- Board member (Trustee) of the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association
- former Chair of the Health Professions Accreditation Collaborative Forum
In her spare time Bronwyn is a keen choral singer and enjoys reading and dog-walking with her husband in the beautiful Canberra bushland.
Catriona Bradley
Ireland
Dr Catriona Bradley is a pharmacist, psychologist, leadership practitioner, and founder of Fios & Praxis. Her career to date has focused on advancing pharmacy practice through capability development, professional learning, and system-level transformation. She previously served as Executive Director of the Irish Institute of Pharmacy, where she led the implementation of the statutory CPD system for Irish pharmacists and supported practice innovation. Before that, she worked for Boots as a community pharmacist and acted as Boots Teacher Practitioner in Trinity College Dublin, where she simultaneously completed her PhD. She subsequently developed the Pharmacy Services Research and Development Agenda for Ireland, led the People agenda as Divisional Capability Manager, and served as Pharmacy Director and Superintendent for Ireland.
Catriona now works with individuals, organisations, and health systems to build capability, strengthen culture, and deliver sustainable change through strategic advisory services. She is a member of the International Committee for Life Long Learning in Pharmacy (LLLP), a role she values because it enables her to stay connected with colleagues around the world as part of this unique global learning community. She attended her first Life Long Learning in Pharmacy International Conference in 2016, and subsequently hosted the Dublin conference in 2021.
Catriona lives by the sea in Dublin, where she enjoys paddle-boarding, sailing, and hill-walks. She loves travelling, particularly to places with good skiing, diving, sailing, or hiking.
Bandana Saini
Bandana is the Director of Academic Career Development at the Sydney Pharmacy School, The University of Sydney, Australia. She is an experienced educator, health services researcher specialising in respiratory and sleep health, and implementation scientist. She has held key education leadership roles within her School including as. Director, Academic Education (2018-2022). She is widely recognised for her scholarly inquiry work as well as her strong commitment to mentoring education focussed pharmacy academics.
In 2026, she joined the Life Long in Pharmacy (LLLP) Conference International Committee. She first took part in LLLP in 2023 and subsequently co-hosted the LLLP2025 conference in Sydney, Australia.
Bandana makes significant contributions to pharmacy education and professional practice in many ways:
- She is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and serves as the Australian representative Councillor on the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association.
- She is an active member of the Australian National Asthma Council’s Guideline Committee as well as the Pharmacists Asthma Advisory Group. In addition, she Chairs Pharmacy Education and Medicines Subcommittee for the Australasian Sleep Association. These roles keep her active in health professional education!
In her spare time, she enjoys reading fiction and collecting funky jewellery from around the world.
Rosemary Killeen
Canada
Rosemary Killeen is a pharmacist and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Her current responsibilities include contributing to the PharmD curriculum and collaborating in educational research projects. Previously, Rosemary was the Director of Lifelong Learning at the School, leading the design and development of professional development programs for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals across Canada. She has practised in primary care and community pharmacy settings and also served as Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Publisher of the Canadian Pharmacists Journal.
Rosemary attended her first Lifelong Learning in Pharmacy (LLLP) conference in 2014 and has been an active participant in and avid promoter of the work of the LLLP community ever since.
Rosemary’s contribution to pharmacy includes:
- Past member of the Board of the Ontario Pharmacists Association and the Community Pharmacy Affairs Committee of the Canadian Pharmacists Association
- Development of multi-accredited interprofessional lifelong learning programs
- Unique teaching and learning components e.g., recognition of prior learning and distance education for degree programs, online microlearning, skill building for clinical preceptors
In her spare time, Rosemary enjoys hiking, reading, and keeping up with grandchildren. As part of her own lifelong learning journeys, she is working to improve her ukelele and piano playing and dabbling in the Irish language.
